Why We Need the Legal — Not Just the social — Kind of Marriage (Hint: not just for the goodies)
It’s all here: Andrew Sullivan on marriage and his feeling of exclusion as a kid; why that isn’t directly about marriage equality; and why it indirectly is about exactly that.
For those Widener Law faculty who have tenure – I am not associated with your University & have not researched whether this applies to Mr. Culhane – what exactly is preventing you from speaking out about the railroading of Larry Connell by both a Law School Dean & a University President? I am making the assumption that the great majority of the faculty are regular human beings & therefor understand this has been an ongoing injustice.
You all just might start feeling ashamed of yourselves, if you continue to do & say nothing.
I’m constantly astounded by the remarks of people who don’t have all the facts — either as to what happened, and why, or as to the faculty’s reaction to it.
